An interesting thought on this date, Sep 10. In 2001, Ross and I were living in Redondo Beach and were doing a workout at the beach that evening. I jumped up onto a concrete bench and my left hand scraped against the side of the bench. When I looked down at my hand, I noticed the diamond out of my engagement ring was missing! We didn't find it and were pretty bummed about it the whole rest of the night. The next morning we woke up to hear about planes being flown into buildings on the East Coast. It certainly put our thoughts into perspective and has always served as a lesson to me. A reminder to remember what is really important and to take the time to enjoy the little things and the journey... This is why I do these posts and it is no surprise when I look back, that they are my favorite captures...
An early morning and I didn't sleep well... I think the person above us was up every couple of hours, too! But alas, this isn't coffee because I have no coffee maker!! soon, we will meet again...

A few sprinkles this morning. Max has an Angry Birds hood attached to his backpack!! It kills me! I love it.

Still living in the apartment means we practically live out of our car. Ross calls my life, "Hurry up and Wait!" We drop off Max and then go to Zoey's school. Waiting in the car for hers to start.

After I dropped both kids off I headed to a nearby lake for a run before the rain hit...

And it did!

The rain actually was a huge blessing for me today. Tuesdays and Thursdays are crazy busy with pick up from school, both kids in soccer but at different times in different places and trying to get homework done in coffee shops, and parks and changing in the car or public bathrooms! But, the rain cancelled Max's practice and moved Zoey's up to an earlier time and indoor!
Waiting for Max at pick up after school, and checking our countdown to our house!!! We know the seconds...

Me and Max...

Ross beat us home and had dinner cooking when we got there! yay! He is always such a good sport...

homework time with Dad (he handles all science related stuff)

Zoey's soccer homework was to watch the men's national team qualify for the World Cup, and hooray, you get to see more pictures of my feet... (I had forgotten I already did a shot of them earlier, oh well)

I hope your day is grand and your September lovely. Cheers to the little things and remembering what it's all about. Peace.
