I was practicing a new editing thing I learned and had to take some face shots...

And Leo! Sometimes not so smart. His ball went on the other side of the table. He crawled under the table and at this point thinks he is stuck and can't get to it, so he whines and whines about it...

Max Turns 10!!

On June 11th, our sweet Max turned 10 years old! He has a fascinating brain and is delightfully funny. He does voices and impressions and remember the silliest things.

Zoey was a big help in planning the cake and decorations for him!

Early in the morning we started on the cake...



We got him a special breakfast by request from Panera Bread. And Ross came home early from work to spend the afternoon with us...

he waited for Ross to be here to open presents and eat cake, he didn't want to wait a single second more, though...

















This is the game guide book to MarioKart 8. He loves the books with all the information as well as the game, so this was a big hit!





Such a genuine smile of joy! His face lights up.






Once he got the book, he was like, thanks guys... enjoy the party:)




And then we busted out the Minion Cake!!!

Max informed us that we made Stuart (according to his eye and hair).

June Ten on the Tenth

so late on this one, oops!

Dad and I would get up and go get bagels sometimes for everyone in the morning. Here people keep photobombing my bagel pictures!




It's not every day that we are together like this, especially not on the tenth, so it was nice to capture... just hanging out in the morning getting ready.

some MarioKart racing... (it just came out about a week before. this is the one game our whole family plays!)

we ate at Biker Jim's which was neat (I had read about it so it was fun to try)

One of the weirdest and longest games... the first inning lasted an hour, both teams hit through the entire line up and there was a grand slam!

Dushanbe Tea House!

One of the places to visit in Boulder is the Dushanbe Tea House. While family was in town, we decided to have a British High Tea there.


The morning before we went, though, Papa was bonding with Leo. Last time they saw each other, Leo was still afraid or didn't like most males...


And Grandma and Papa had to try some MarioKart Racing!! So funny!




And off we went. The funny thing is, when we lived in Boulder, we actually were super close by to this and even drove near by a bunch, but never knew! It is a lot smaller than expected. It was a gift and completely build by hand without the use of any power tools in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

The grounds out front were pretty, but so sunny and hot when we were waiting. I tried to take pictures but the bright sun wasn' helping.




We moved to a shady spot, and it worked better. Girls only... no boys wanted to be in the pictures (well, just not Max)








Yay! all of us!

Max liked it! He even drank two pots of tea! (and then really had to pee on the way home)
