Good Morning and Evening Arizona

On July 10th, I just completely forgot about my ten on the tenth! I did take a bunch of pictures in the morning and evening, but they didn't show our day at all.

The morning started with hummingbird watch again. I will just add a few more pictures to show you!

And later that evening, the kids and I went for a little walk around sunset...

Not sure what symbols they are doing (too long ago), but its probably a puppy gang. word.

The Hummingbirds...

Yep, still blogging about our Arizona adventures. Early mornings trying to capture the hummingbirds. I didn't have the right lens, and I woke up a little too late, but still captured some...

The early morning is still nice in the Arizona summer.

hello little one, coming to take a sip....
IMG_2540

if I inch one step closer or move a big movement, you fly away!
IMG_2543

they loved this plant too.
IMG_2549

Zoey tells me they are the only bird that can fly backwards...

It was hard to get the metering for the light just right on these against the bright background. So I was set up for the above pictures when another one came by... this next picture is overexposed, but I think it is neat anyway...

Golfing with Dad

I had a fun time going golfing with my Dad early one morning while back in Arizona. We had to get up crazy early to beat the heat, but the morning was beautiful...

IMG_2519

I hadn't golfed in years and years, but I had so much fun. We had a nice, older lady in our group who was really good and fun to chat with...

I didn't do so bad, all things considered. I even got a legit par! Thanks Dad, I loved it!

Hoover Dam

On our drive back to Arizona, we decided to wind down to see the Hoover Dam. You used to have to always drive this way, but now they have a big bridge to bypass it. You can stop your car and park really though. You have to get out and walk quite a ways. I did what I could to get some pictures.

it is pretty amazing. This is the back side of what you see when you normally think of the Hoover Dam

The bridge you drive on now to bypass...
IMG_2510

It was still hot and we didn't want to walk far, plus we were having bathroom issues, so we pressed on...

Another view of the bridge...

Mon Ami Gabi

My parents wanted to share one of their favorite restaurants (mon ami gabi, inside the Paris) with all of us, so when Ross got into town, they treated us out!

This is a good red wine...

And sweet Rachel, always willing to smile for the camera...

Moving around the table... Goofball Zoey and Papa
IMG_2482

Other goofball Josh and Tina... you can see why Zoey and Josh aren't in pictures together, right?
IMG_2485

oh, more goofballs... I was dining with such comedians
IMG_2487

Zoey doesn't always make silly faces though... I like when she does both, actually!
IMG_2491

Tina giving the oysters a quick smell check to ensure their food safety... (kind of a joke, but they were fresh if you were wondering, and really, you never want to eat a bad oyster)

IMG_2498

We stopped for dessert (some gelato) on the walk back. And I saw this store which I thought was odd and funny...
IMG_2500

Max and Papa enjoyed the gelato the most I think. They are concentrating on eating it...
IMG_2501

Josh smiled in this one, :)

Tina, Rachel, Josh and I went to see The Jersey Boys one night and it was awesome! I loved it. That is all for vegas... baby...
