New Year's Day

So, on this last day of January, I'm backing up to the very first day! This month seems to last forever... Anyway, we had a nice dinner at home, just the four of us, and we had sparkling apple juice in fancy glasses for fun!!

We bought the kids these little building kits from Lowes so they could put them together on a cold, winter day.





They had fun hammering real nails and stuff...







And when they were finished, they insisted I get a picture of their projects from all angles!

More Snow Fun

After the sledding, we decided to have a snowball fight. We built some forts and made lots of snowballs.



making snowballs seems to involve eating large amounts of snow... every chance they got, they were eating the snow... (we covered the basics on what snow to avoid)



I love this bright, colorful picture.


Ross did the fort building for both sides.


He also didn't miss an opportunity to pound the kids with a shovel full of snow.
