San Diego, part four

If you are wondering how many parts there will be, so am I...

After resting a little bit and going out to dinner at the Coronado Brewing Company, we headed back out to the water. The light was just beautiful...



Ross didn't get to play much before because he was dealing with check-in, so Max had to show him what he was missing out on!





We could find lots of sand crabs at this time.

Running from the waves again!


We moved from California just as he turned 4, so I don't think he remembers playing at the beach...




Relaxed and stress-free! Perfect vacation feeling! We got news of Ross' promotion on this trip, so that was super nice too!

San Diego, part three

Max ran back and forth, to and from the waves for what seemed like forever.

Then, Zoey joined in!





We got our hands messy too!



the kids made "Sand Syrup" the whole time we were there. It was delish.

One more wave to run from and a cool sail boat!

San Diego, part deux... more of the beach

Did I mention I took a bajillion pictures on this one day? And I like all of them. Not that they are all great pictures, but that they all make me smile.

And playing in the sand is fun, you can just rinse off with the next wave!






Max would barely stop and look at me for a picture. When he did, he ran straight up to me and got too close, hence the soft focus...

at times I just looked around and couldn't believe how lovely it all was and that we were on a Navy base!


Something needed further inspection!



I remember being around 8 years old and going to the beach in Spain and thinking how it made me feel very small, in a big world.. I was small, but I still feel that every time I see the ocean.


Off in the distance is the big bridge to get to Coronado. It had to be so high so ships could sail under but then it curves 80 degrees so that it isn't too steep!



And this guy... he poked holes in a target back when I looked away for one second! I didn't even have food in the bag, it was just towels!!
