November Ten on the Tenth and EXCITED

The idea is to take ten photos on the tenth of the month and share it, documenting a day of your life and the ordinary moments. There is beauty in the ordinary.

Ten on the Tenth for November... how can it be November already?

Kids love not having to get up and go to school on the weekends. They still get up early though, but Max just likes that he can stay up and read in his bed for as long as he wants the night before.

Our now ordinary pics involve puppy life too, so here is Leo's breakfast time.

And my word for the day was EXCITED! So, here is Leo at the dog park, and he was definitely excited!

From the dog park, we went to lunch. It was so nice in the sun, we could eat outside!

We like the church in Boulder that is near the CU campus, but Sunday nights, the mass is at 6pm so its kind of late. Since we have Monday off, we went to church and then went to get dessert at BJ's... Pizookie TRIO

It was super dark in there, so most of my pictures didn't turn out great. But this marks the event.

Happy November and all things thankful and fall-ish!

Zoey and the Super Science Project

Zoey had her biggest school project to date in Science class recently. It was basically a science fair type of project and she chose to shoot nerf darts at different angles to see what angle made the dart go the farthest. She also tested different weight darts. She really worked hard on this project, so we were very proud of her work and dedication.

On the actual morning of the data gathering, we all went out as a family to help out.

Here are some pictures from the morning. I took pictures for her poster board display.

As you can see, Leo wanted to have a role in this as well.

We made sure she did most of the work.

took pictures of this guy too!

Max was using the angle fixture like a starting block for a track race!

and then he and Leo would race down the driveway!

And Zoey wanted me to add this one because of the dog butt!

She did great and received an A+!

November 9 - Country

So for the "Country" theme, I had a little trouble. I was driving back from Boulder today and looking around and nothing hit me.

Ross volunteered to dress up for me, but ...

The only thing that kept going through my mind was the old Kenny Chesney song, "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy". I don't know why... back in my country music listening days, this song was big and there was a line that says something about a big, cold jug of sweet tea! And so it was my inspiration for this picture. A stretch, maybe, but I think it is the fun part of the challenge!

November 7 - Mitten

I don't have any mittens in the house... so I grabbed a glove. Close enough, right? And then I gave it to Leo so he could play with it for a second... total tease... and then took it away. It is what you have to do sometimes for a photo!

November 6 - Weather

Nothing big in the weather department on this day, but it was a chilly, fall day with a sunshiney afternoon!

IMG_3740

This is just outside of Max's school. I like to make the starburst-y sun!

A new subject!

The first day we just called him puppy! But Zoey and Max came up with the name Leo later that first evening and we all agreed. The next day, I had fun photographing a new, and sometimes willing, subject!

IMG_3370

He really is so cute.

IMG_3372

The pound said he was a border terrier mix, and he was born in New Mexico. That is all we know!
