We can chuckle now, but seriously we have visited the ER at every family person's location at least once, sometimes twice. If we were home, some of the visits wouldn't necessarily require the ER, but that is what we do when out of town. Chet and Tabitha even felt bad, because Zoey busted her chin open once at their house years ago! I guess Max was just making the score even. Anyway, as I said in the beginning... I am now planning for the adventure!
A sort of funny side note... I read about two other little boys who had the same thing happen, one on the same day even. I bet the hospitals and urgent care are filled with this in the summertime. I would say boys will be boys, but Zoey is are resident stitches champ, so who knows?
And since I never know when the stars will align again with the weather and time of day and Max cooperating, I may not get my second set of pictures I was hoping for with Max. So for now, here he is in his new 6 year old glory!

man, i can't believe your track record with going on family visits. don't come to us, we'll come to you. :)
cool picture of max. is that big excavator thing in your neighborhood? awesome "prop" for a boy picture.
p.s. like the new blog look.
oh man, a place not on your must-sess's, I"m sure! Hope he's hangin' in there okay and back to his cute six-year-old antics :)
Tyler had his two incidents in the presence of the same family of friends or ours too! I'm starting to think maybe we shouldn't hang out with them!
I know Max is a boy but that is a pretty picture.
I am glad Max is okay. Sounds like the same type of injury Ben had when he was two. We had just moved to Germany and I kept telling Steve we needed to find out were the local ER was because there was not one on Rhein Main. Sure enough Ben rolled out of his new big boy bed and busted open under the chin on the tip...blood everywhere! I could even see a little of the fatty tissue so I knew we would have to take him in...but we didn't know where in was. We made it there but we couldn't figure how to get in. We drove through the gates 3 times. Finally the next time through we showed the German security Ben's chin and he said "oh" and pointed us in the right direction. Ben too had that liquid glue and to this day you can see the little line but it has a tiny bump in there you can feel.
I seriously make a conscious effort to note hospital signs now! That and I say a little prayer that we don't have to go there! I am not sure what lesson I am supposed to be learning in all this!!
Susie- definitely not:)
Tricia- it is in our neighborhood... I guess in terms of photo props, it is the blessing of living near all the new construction.
Tracy- that is too funny... sometimes I wonder about funny coincidences like that. Hope Tyler is doing fine:)
Jeni- that's a story... ooh, we could see the little fatty tissue with Max, that was kinda gross;)
Oh My! Sorry to hear about Max. I bet he was very brave through the process. Both of your kids are so tough with pain. How many visits has it been to the ER?
sounds like max and griffin did the same thing. those rough and tumble boys.... :)
