It is funny how a view from a different angle can capture them a different way! I can see a teenage boy in Max in this picture... Looking at me a little annoyed or just in the "I don't smile for pictures" phase!
And then just a few seconds later... Back to sweet, smiling, six year old Max...
And Zoey... always looking at me so seriously in front of the camera... how I love your cute freckles!
Oh, here I caught a smile!

love these shots. the 2nd one of max and the last one of zoey look prof. you should frame them. too bad you didn't have that first one last week--would've been a great entry into i heart faces' "smirk" challenge. :)
