California Adventure

When I planned our trip (date-wise) I didn't realize that Carsland was opening for the first time while we would be there! The bummer of it was that California Adventure was going to be closed for an entire day for the press and all that. It actually worked out okay, and wasn't super busy considering only one park was open. I am thinking all the locals stayed away.

So, on our first day, we arrived in the afternoon and decided to hit California Adventure to make sure we saw it in case it was crazy on opening day.

This was my first time at this park.

It has a big ferris wheel and "pier"

While the kids were riding some smaller rides with Ross, I headed over to get a fast pass for another ride and saw Woody! The line for his autograph was 45 minutes! I am thankful my kids just wanted to ride the rides.

Here we are in the big ferris wheel. We had to get in one of the non-swinging cars so that I wouldn't throw up (I'm an awesome person to go to an amusement park with!)

The main cars ride that opened up two days later had a 5 1/2 hour wait! We just ended up walking through. I will post pictures of it because they did an amazing job. While everyone was in line for the Cars ride, we rode some of our favorites on this side of the park... Soaring Over California, and the Tower of Terror! I love that one, but the kids thought it was too short. I probably built it up too much. I went on the one at DisneyWorld years ago and loved it and kept talking about it!! And, they loved the water rides. We went on one with a Korean family (I recognized them talking Korean) and the older boy and dad screamed when they got wet. Max thought it was so funny and he said, "their screaming like little girls!!" Definitely our most entertaining ride. And they filmed the whole thing. I had tears of laughter streaming down from that one!!
