1. Happy Earth Day. It was bike to school day here in Boulder Valley... We drove and walked like usual. My kids are too logical (and explained why they didn't need to bike) and also, a little anti-establishment. We recycle though...:)
2. We finally got rid of our Jeep that kept breaking down on me. (it was 12 years old, so it had a good life with us) We replaced it with a fancy blender!!
Delicious, healthy green smoothies galore!

and yes, you read that right. we bought a blender with money from a vehicle! nice.
3. We got a Vitamix, if you are wondering, and it is pretty cool. We have always juiced, but smoothies are different and fun and more fiber/less mess! I have also made almond milk, and homemade mayo that is awesome (and I don't even like mayo normally!).
4. I think we finally turned the corner into Spring and maybe, maybe there will be no more snow!! I do have snowy pictures to post from the beginning of April though.
5. I hope you had a nice Easter. We got up to go to mass at 6am in order to beat the crowds. It was tiring, but so worth it.
6. The kids have 28 school days left, but who's counting? That would be me; I know the number starting from about 50. What can I say, I love summer with them.
7. Plus, summer last year was crazy, since we were kind of homeless.
8. Renting an apartment versus owning our townhouse or any house means nothing to Max. He could be happy either way, as long as he has some of his stuff to do. So, we were walking by this new apartment complex near us the other day and someone was swimming in the pool. He asked when we get to go swimming, and I told him, it wasn't our pool to swim in. He just said, "What? Why did you choose the wrong place to live then?" I assured him, we are close to other pools and will go as soon as they open. That would be "McMorial" Day to him.
9. I finally finished turning all of our blog years into books. I just ordered 2011, 2012 and 2013. I am excited to see them in print. I am so amazed at the little things we forget, and even if it is only important to me, I am glad it is all written down.
10. Easter inspired quote, "The Crucifix does not signify defeat or failure. It reveals to us the love that overcomes evil and sin." -Pope Francis.
word.
Happy Tuesday Friends.

I think we lead parallel lives. I hope you start pinning some great vitamix recipes you find--I got one for Christmas. Did you use blurb to do your blog books? Would love to know what other good options are out there. Just wrapped up my 2013 blog book a few weeks ago--it's great motivation to keep blogging...wish I was as caught up as you are! The books really highlight how much more I used to write for my posts...need to get back to it. Thanks for the inspiration!
