I went to the party by myself with both kids and took the camera with every intention of getting some pictures of the two of them, but I was busy just running around getting them food and making sure Max didn't spread cupcake goo on too many other people/things... So here is a picture of Max after we got home, just because... He is "flying" his hand around. He loves to make all of his toys fly...
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Max Ehrmann

Party Time
Zoey and I made cupcakes for a party at Max's school... She did all of the sprinkles:) She still hates getting her picture taken, though, so unfortunately I don't always capture great ones of her...

A little dilemma: Zoey's school has one teacher, so I got her a neat little gift for Christmas. Max's school is a little different. He has one main teacher but a ton of volunteers and therapists and room helpers... I think I counted 13 total that he knows and interacts with each time... Any suggestions on gifts for that many?? I would like to do something because they are all such special people and we are really appreciative of them and the school. So if you got some creative juices flowing, I would appreciate your thoughts...

i don't know if this is too late or not. but here is an idea. it's really not that expensive either.
get canning jars and lids. in the canning jars (small ones by the way) put half filled with cocoa mix, a fourth filled with milk chocolate chips, and the rest filled to the top with marshmallows. put the lid on, attach a card with directions on how to make hot chocolate, tie a pretty ribbon with a candy cane (to be used to stir the hot cocoa) and voila, easy, and you can make lots.
another idea, buy those little tins from the dollar store and put homemade fudge in them. (i have a really easy recipe)
choco chips (white or chocolate)
i can sweetened condensed milk
melt those two in a double broiler.
line an 8 x 8 pan with tin foil, spray with non-stick spray, pour in mixture.
add chopped walnuts, cut up cookie dough, crushed candy canes, whatever you want to add.
Put in fridge, when it hardens cut into squares.
ok...out of ideas. hope that helps.
I should have just called you, I could have done that and Zoey would have liked to help!! I just made a little poem and a funny picture with Max and a Santa hat saying that after working with him you need caffeine or a sip of tea so here have a starbucks, and just got a $5 starbucks card. It wasn't too bad, I figured since we don't even pay for his school, I could do that.
