Ross and I took the kids to Lowes to pick up a few things. It has been really hot and humid lately, so much so that you don't even notice the stores being overly air conditioned, (or maybe it was broken.) Either way, it was Hot! So at the check out Ross grabbed a Gatorade. The kids wanted some too, so they each got their own. After we got back in the car and Max had taken some big gulps, he exclaimed, "AHHHH, Gator Juice is Gooood!"
I mentioned that Gatorade might be fun to have at soccer when it starts in a week or so, and Zoey started to talk about last season and the teams they won or lost against. She said, "Do you remember when we SLOBBERED that pink team?"
And in the heat, the only way to beat it is water, right? We have been going to the pool, or to parks with splash-pads, or to the fountain at the outdoor mall (the Greene). At the Greene, we get snow cones, too! Double Fun!
I brought my camera this day to play around with shutter speed... It was fun.
Zoey trying to drink the water...

Max just trying to get the water to land exactly on his face... He succeeded.

Snow Cone Smiles!

Snow Cone Seriousness! He is focused!

I love your fountain shots! My kids barely went in there since the water was to cold! Good summer fun! When do your kids start school, Jill?
TOO cold. Oops.
what fun! haven't hit a sprayground all summer. i'm trying to get through the list of must-do's for summer all this week--might have to add a sprayground to the list.
love the slow shutter speed shot. very cool.
Susie - school in one week! It was cold in the beginning of summer, but lately it is so hot that even the water isn't super cold anymore!
