Friday Night Lights

Our Friday Night Lights this fall involved soccer... His games were under the lights, usually not too cold, and he had fun and improved each game. Except for the parent fail... right before one of the games, Max was messing with his teammates playing keep away, and he fell in a little hole. He twisted his ankle a little, but Ross and I just told him to shake it off. He said it hurt, but not REALLY hurt, so we told him to go play the game. Well, poor kid, he limped through the entire game and when he woke up the next morning, he couldn't even walk! His ankle was so swollen, I felt horrible. It was so bad, that we were considering taking him to urgent care, and of course, felt guilty as all heck because we told him to shake it off last night and play the game. Thankfully, he showed some improvement the next day and got better and better, but lets just say, sucking it up, sometimes backfires.
