We set off to a local pumpkin farm that we drive by almost every day. All of a sudden out of nowhere, it seemed, thousands of pumpkins were there! I think the rest of the grass, leaves, etc. around the pumpkins dried up and boom, pumpkins sprouted up like crazy. You get to drive through and cut your own pumpkins off!
The search for the perfect one begins!

beautiful colors and light, right?
this one, also in search of the perfect pumpkin... he just turns into a big kid with things like this...only better, because he has a saw or a knife or whatever...

Max, although interested in finding a pumpkin, he follows a map...

and jumps to get there!

we were sort of chasing daylight, so they didn't want to stop for pictures...

I just can't think of a caption for this one, but it makes me laugh.

It looks like Zoey is the pumpkin hauler. She is doing all the work.

Max found his though, and he couldn't get Zoey to carry it!

this is the hold your green pumpkin up and put your knife in your pocket dance move perfected by Ross...

and more boy jumping around using his imagination...

Zoey joined in for a bit

our goods...

and our downtown looking all fall-ish...
