Dora's Influence on Max

I was putting Max to bed last night and he was lying on his back picking his nose. It seems to be a boy thing, if you ask me... I always seem to catch boys picking their nose and then eating the contents they find, and Max is no exception. Sometimes he looks at me while doing it and says, "No NO NO!" And then laughs as he sticks his finger from nose to mouth. Anyway, he was messing with his nose in the dark and I put my face up close and we had this conversation:

Me: "Is that your nose?"
Max: "Nose"
As he is bringing his finger to his mouth, I say, "Max, don't eat your boogers!"

Max: "Eat boogers, Yum, Delicioso!"

That is Spanish for Delicious, according to Dora the Explorer. That is how Max is utilizing his spanish knowledge... to describe eating boogers. Lovely.

Picking the nose and eating the boogers is definitely a BOY THING!!! Josh does it everywhere!!!! GROSS!!!

Uh-oh, I think that I might have taught Max that over Christmas. (not the picking the nose, but the laughing about it.) We were sitting on the couch together and he was picking his nose. I'd take his hand and pull it away and say "NO, no, no, no, gross" and he'd laugh and put the finger in his mouth!!
