Butterflies

Besides the whole Monet Bridge, our purpose when visiting the Cox Arboretum the other day was actually to see the Butterfly house that is "in season" at the moment.

It didn't fail us! We saw lovely butterflies...







BUT it was Hot! And Max is a little grumpy when he is overheated so we didn't stay too long admiring the butterflies!

So we headed out to the hedge maze for a bit...


There is a town in Ohio that claims to have the most perfect tree... I don't know the details of it, but I think this one looks pretty good...

And Zoey gets little sweat droplets on her nose just like me!


I actually planned for the heat, sort of... I brought their insulated water bottles and a little snack, but it was gone quick and we were still hot and thirsty! Oh well, any excuse to hit Starbucks for an iced tea and those petite vanilla bean scones works for me!!

Speaking of heat... Max didn't want to go in to the store the other day. He said he would just stay in the car. Not that I would leave him in the car on a cool day, but I told him not today because the car gets so hot it is like an oven!

Well, the kids haven't forgot that, and they are always asking me if it is an oven before they get it. Well, the other morning it hadn't heated up yet, so Zoey said, "It's only a toaster oven, so we are good!"
