One of my pet peeves is that people decorate for Christmas BEFORE Thanksgiving and then they are annoyed by the clutter of Christmas and the decorations being up for over a month that they clean it up and throw the tree out of the door the next day. It doesn't help that Target started putting up the Valentine's day decorations on Christmas Eve, either. Anyway, my annoyance is mostly with the fact that when we should be slow and quiet and rejoicing and soaking up the blessing of Christ's birth... well, we are just busy busy getting on with our lives. All of this to say... I follow the traditions of the Catholic Church and keep my decorations up until the Epiphany on January 6. Did you know it was considered the "Little Christmas" by many for years and years (mostly in Europe). Little Christmas because it represents when Jesus was introduced to the Magi, who represent the rest of the world... the non-Jews, the Gentiles, the regular other guys, like me. And that is a blessing. So thankful he came for us ALL, right?

Day 7: The Tea...
Remember when I went to PF Changs and had some tea and then couldn't stop thinking about it? (cause I'm a weirdo like that) Well, we left for our trip and while on this trip I dragged my mom to three different grocery stores (they just have more variety there) and Ross to another in Colorado, but no such luck... It seems they know people want it and they are creating supply and demand and the only way to get it is to buy it from the website one crazy expensive with shipping box at a time OR... buy 6 boxes on amazon with free shipping... Clearly, I went for the better deal...

I know it seems excessive, but everyone drinks it! Even the kids, so it won't last long at all. Plus, it makes me happy, which goes nicely with being weird.HAHAHA
Day 9: Summer Dreaming...
So, you know, winter for me stinks. I try to limit my blog complaining about it, and even add a positive spin here and there. Apparently sniffing citrus scents, in particular, grapefruit, in the winter helps with the winter blues! So, the year I found that out, I stocked up on grapefruit candles and lotions. It helps a little... This year I tried to make visuals as well! I really need a macro lens, for this, so I faked it with cropping, but it still works...

That's happy, isn't it? After I did this, I tried grapes and I like this picture too...

here's my assistant!
