Happy 2011 and My Project 365

Hello! And Happy New Year! 2011... Goodness, really? Craziness (as Max would say). We got out of town for Christmas and spent time with cacti and the mountains (Arizona and Colorado) and family as well. It was WARM (for most of it) and very lovely and, of course, I have tons of pictures. But, I will get to them and post about them when I get the chance. I figure, if I get them done in January, I am good.

For 2011, on my blog, I want to do my own version of a Project 365. Most people challenge themselves to do a picture a day! Whew! I wouldn't last long! So, I am doing my own version, because I love when people do something like this and then make a collage later. In pictures, you see the time of year, and events that happened and they tell their own story. So, I am not linking up with anyone else, and I am not doing it every day. I want to have an excuse to take a random picture and post it on here, with just a little writing explanation (or none at all). Sometimes involving family, sometimes just practicing photography. So yay! Here we go!

And to start off... I am even doing two days in one!! (oh, I am doing the day numbers according to the day of the year, just FYI)

Day 1:  The Hand Sewn Puppy

Zoey decided to hand sew a puppy just for Max. She did the entire thing by herself. It is a pug dog and it is a girl (with a bow in one ear). And it is so, so, adorable.

Day 2:  The Handlebar Mustache

Whenever my military husband goes on leave, he doesn't shave. It's a nice break and funny to see him with facial hair. What's not so funny (well, if you are the wife)? The handlebar mustache...
