10 on 10

Okay, so I was clicking from blog to blog one night, and ended up somewhere and they had this 10 on 10. I read a couple of posts and then shut it down, but the idea kept coming back to me throughout the next day or so. I couldn't remember where I found it, but I googled and think this may be the start of it. I hope I am giving credit properly. But the idea is to take ten photos on the tenth of the month and share it, documenting a day of your life and the ordinary moments. There is beauty in the ordinary. And these are often what we forget, right? And yet they make up the most time. Plus, I figured, it may be a little boring for others, but how fun to look back and see what changes and what stays the same. One day a month? I can do that. So, I started today! Ten on Ten, on 10/10! How appropriate!

No School Today! Always fun, but we had a dentist appointment. School starts pretty early around here and Max takes some coaxing to get down stairs. This is my view most mornings at some point...
1

Six months ago, when I made the appointment, I didn't realize it was Columbus Day, so an 8:30 appointment sounded fine! Oh well, we'll sleep in one day... the dentist was good though, so no complaints out of this mom.

2

We had to get some food for us and goodies for a care package for Ross, so we went to one of my favorite places....

3

And hit the playground on the way back. Lots of other schools were in session today so it was nice and empty. We could run around and play lots of different games...
4

Technically, they say to take a picture about every hour or so... just to get the whole day and variety. We were actually at the park for over an hour and moved onto the leaves and frisbee golf area, so I took another shot. This is my favorite one of the day...

5

And we came home for lunch and got to Skype with Dad! Hooray! Ross has a bad internet connection, but we take what we can get.

6

And then it was back to the sewing grind! The costume is 50% done, with the hardest part behind me, so I think I'll make it!

7

Dinner... Ross, this is a bowl of cheese tortellini, and Max ate the whole thing!
8

Soccer for Max tonight...
9

And home to get cleaned up. They watched a little video on the computer while having a snack before bed...

So, there we go. have a good day, and stay tuned... I've got a guest blogger post coming;)
