hello...

Oh, hello there blog... nice to see you again. In case you forgot, my name is Jill, and yes, I have been stinking at the whole blog writing lately. And as for my picture a day deal? Well, let's just say that equals FAIL! No worries, though. I have another plan! This one I really like and totally think it's doable, so stay tuned! (hint: sometime after 10/10)

Anyway, a little catch- up Ten on Tuesday style:

1. We have had the strangest weather this September. I have some theories and they all revolve around me! You see, it is normally the absolute best time of year here in Ohio. Cool mornings and evenings, with beautiful 70 degree, sunshiney days! No cloudy, rainy cold things. But this year? It was the cloudy, rainy, cold! We spend hours upon hours at the soccer fields, which usually is quite pleasant. Ross and I always comment about how enjoyable it is. Since this year is different, I am not sad about him being gone and not enjoying the great weather... I'm bundled up under and blanket a umbrella trying to stay warm! See? all about me!

2. The cloudy coolness makes for pretty pictures at sunrise and sunset however... These would be part of my Picture a Day, had I continued...

I couldn't believe the colors of this evening.

And Zoey told me to get my camera one morning before school to capture this one...

3. This cloud was crazy too. So much so that both kids thought something was wrong! It was huge!

4. here is Zoey one evening... she has such a tender heart. She writes letters, newspapers, books, and even comic books for Ross. She loves to make her very own packages for him! They are beyond adorable.

5. My mums came back again, and even better! Do they come back every year? Or just for a couple years?

6. I am up to my knees in Halloween costume prep! It is a fun time every year, although this year, I seem to have bitten off a lot more than my beginner sewing abilities can manage! We are pushing through though. I have a micromanager helper! Max is keeping me in line. He asks what step of the instructions I am on and how my progress is coming! I am not moving fast enough for him! The other day as we were leaving for school, he asked what I would be doing all day (nice, right?). After I answered him, he said maybe I should sew a little bit too...

7. I captured this picture kind of by accident, but I like it. I like how all of the birds are in a different position...

8. The fertilizer guy came the other day... he left a note on the door with the bill and his comments. What he did and other tips.... I have to give myself a shout out because our crazy lawn is a beast.... "Mr. Johnston (ahem, I will take credit...) Your lawn looks good!" Sweet:) I will say, my neighbors have helped a little with the mowing. I had to conquer my nemesis, the weed trimmer however, which may have been a reality show on its own... anyway, I am looking forward to whenever the lawn hibernates or whatever it does in the winter.... Anyone know when that happens?

9. Zoey had a birthday last week. Nine! I have pictures of that to come as well. I can't believe she is a nine year old. Especially because we moved here before her 6th birthday. Crazy

10. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. We feel them. I know that it is God's grace that helps us through each day and we are so thankful for Him and you.

Jill, you take the best pictures! I love your mumms. Good luck on that costume...what is it? I bet it will be cute.

p.s. When you see Susy please give her a hug from me. At least I can talk to her on the phone now that I am back in the states. I wish you both were my neighbors.

1. Your cloudy pictures are awesome- clouds give so much more interest to sky shots, don't you thinK?
2. I can't wait to see what costumes you're making, too!
3. I think you're pretty awesome, I don't know if you're having rough days with Ross being gone, but putting one foot in front of the other keeps the time moving forward and your head sane. Praying for you all!
