I will post this and then do a little back tracking again. This tenth of the month is one that will be remembered for a long time!
It started out early, but we have pretty sunrises in the mornings sometimes. I love being able to see that from the house!

poor max has to get up earlier than Zoey now. Sleepy mornings...

Ross was actually home this Thursday. He had taken the day off to work on Air Force school-y type stuff. This ended up being huge for later on...

I had to head to the eye doctor. I was just getting an exam, that I don't get very often, so I was not prepared for the whole eye dilation thing and not being able to see up close for a while!! I couldn't even tell if the next few pictures were in focus... so my ten on the tenth documenting sort of went down hill at this point!!

Pretty leaves, but I still couldn't tell what I was focusing on!

Okay... so the night before I was checking out the website for the Boulder Humane Society. We had been checking rescue sights constantly in hopes of finding a dog. The Boulder Humane Society is the NICEST dog shelter I have ever ever seen. The amount of dogs that go through there is amazing. And when a cutey comes along, you have to be quick. So, we found this little puppy on-line at 9 pm. We researched his breed a little and decided we should try and meet him the next day. You have to call and put a hold on the puppy if you want first dibs. I was in the middle of the eye appointment, which is why it was good that Ross was home to make the call.... And even though he called right when they opened, someone was actually there to see him! Yikes. We thought we missed our chance. But it was meant to be and we got the next hold on him. We were going to wait for the kids to come home to check him out but decided we better do it, because once the kids saw him, we probably couldn't walk away if we needed to!
Ross and I met him and I tried to take pictures, but I still couldn't see. Anyway, we adopted the pup and had lunch and then went to pick up the kids and surprise them!!
Here is Max meeting Leo for the first time!

Big smiles, waiting to be in on the surprise for Zoey.

Max and Ross and Leo, hid behind a tree while I went to get Zoey. I told her we didn't get the dog because someone beat us to it. She was about to go hunt someone down! And then she turned the corner... to see the cutest puppy waiting to meet her!

She was pretty excited!

and this was happening as a train went by, which is random...

So, a fun, and memorable 10th for sure. Needless to say, Ross didn't get much done on his paper that day!
Welcome our Leo!
