The Olympics

Did you watch the Olympics? You probably don't remember because it was so long ago, right? Anyway, we did and we loved it. Our summer was so hot and humid that after long days doing summer things, it was nice to come in a watch and cheer for the US in the evenings!! This is the first summer Olympics that the kids were really interested in, too, so that was cool. And am I the only one who tears up all the time? My kiddos thought I was nuts!

Anyway, the Olympics inspired us to change up our outdoor play a little bit...

and, not that I don't believe in safety first, but they actually just got off their bikes and forgot to take off their helmets. I wasn't making them wear them on the "beam"...







The guy who can always rig something up for fun... I think I'll keep him, he is handy afterall...


Plus, if he does the dirty work, I get to just take the pictures...



We set up some track events too... fun times.
