birthday dinner

Ross was out of town for my birthday again this year (oh, woe is me, I know). So, when he returned home we went to the Melting Pot for dinner. We actually have a handful of nice restaurants around our city, but something about slowly eating your dinner and it lasting for 90 minutes or so is very appealing. That and the chocolate and cheese and dipping sauces...

it's always so dark in the restaurant, and I still had the borrowed lens, so we took pictures in the yard before we headed out. These are the times that I at least attempt to get a picture of myself to prove I was there!

Oh, wait, before we left, Ross went running. He was trying to see if his month in Colorado and its altitude would affect his mile time here! only by 5 seconds, if you are wondering.

The kids are getting taller now where they can all stand in the pictures.

crazy, right? So, as a side comment, they both are on the taller side for their age, but I have a theory that they are just early growers. Especially if you see Ross and me. (I am short and he is not super tall.) But since they have been born, strangers comment on the kids. I am not sure what it is, but once they realize that I am not the nanny (that happened only in California), they take one look at me (literally up and down) and always say I must have a crazy tall husband. And then I have to go into my explanation of my theory and well, too much information? Probably. It just happens often and happened yesterday again, so I figured I would jot it down for posterity, since, if my theory is correct, they will just be average!

okay, moving on...
