a doe, a deer

Whenever someone new comes to our house, they look out our back windows and usually ask if we get to see a lot of deer. The answer is no. We know they are out there (we see hoofprints all around the house, even in the front) but we just rarely see them. In fact, in almost four years, we have seen deer less than 5 times. But, this rare morning, we looked out and saw three! I got out on the deck without them noticing but they sure heard my camera click! They looked over right away and then scurried off...
